Law enforcement and district attorneys are seeking individuals who may have observed a brawl in the Odenwald region.
The Hessian State Police Headquarters and the Public Prosecutor's Office Darmstadt have issued a joint press release regarding an incident that occurred on Tuesday, August 26th, at around 4:00 PM. The incident took place on the parking lot of a supermarket located on Wernher-von-Braun-Straße.
According to the press release, a 29-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, along with her two brothers, were involved in an altercation. The 29-year-old woman, an Iraqi national, suffered life-threatening injuries. Witnesses who observed the incident and have not yet contacted the police are asked to get in touch with the Specialist Commission 10 of the Erbach Criminal Police on 06062 / 953 - 0.
The 35-year-old man, also an Iraqi national, is accused of hitting his former partner with his car during the altercation. However, as of now, the suspicion of attempted homicide has not been confirmed based on current findings and trace evidence. The investigation of the attempted murder suspicion against the 29-year-old Iraqi woman on August 26 at the supermarket parking lot was conducted by the local police authorities before the indictment was filed later.
