Law enforcement authorities are tracking down potential eyewitnesses in an ongoing investigation.

In a joint operation conducted by the South East Hesse Police Headquarters and the Hessian Police Headquarters Deployment, 96 traffic offenders were caught in Offenbach. Three vehicle drivers were measured at over 130 km/h, facing a fine of 480 euros, two points in Flensburg, and a one-month driving ban. The majority of vehicles complied with the prescribed speed limit during the operation, with the majority of the speeding violations being transmitted electronically directly to the fine office.

Meanwhile, a separate incident occurred in the area of the 40s house numbers on Richard-Wagner-Straße, Offenbach, where an unknown woman attempted to steal a necklace from a 50-year-old resident around 2:20 pm on Wednesday afternoon. The store detective apprehended the suspect after the anti-theft device was triggered. The perpetrator drove off in a black VW station wagon with the partial license plate "MZ".
