Law enforcement authorities in Dresden, Germany experienced a busy weekend.

On the weekend of September 6-7, 2025, the Federal Police conducted checks on international trains, leading to the seizure of prohibited items and the investigation of several incidents.

The first incident occurred on a Eurocity train from Dresden to Prague on Saturday, September 6, when a 21-year-old Romanian national was found with a knuckleduster. The Federal Police initiated an investigation for assault in this case.

Later that day, a 40-year-old American citizen was checked on an international train bound for the Czech Republic but was found to be in the clear.

The following day, Sunday, September 7, a physical altercation took place at Dresden Central Station around 11:30 PM. During this altercation, a 37-year-old German man and a 36-year-old German woman were involved. No further details about the altercation have been released.

On the same day, a passenger on a train from Prague to Dresden discovered a knuckleduster and four marijuana clips at 5:40 AM. The items were found on a 23-year-old German, who was already known to the police due to previous offenses. The Federal Police initiated investigations for violating the Weapons and Narcotics Act in this case.

In a separate incident, a 23-year-old German was checked on the same train from Prague to Dresden around 5:40 PM and was found with the same prohibited items. The police apprehended both attackers, and investigations were initiated for violating the Weapons and Narcotics Act in the case of the 23-year-old German.

During these weekend checks, the Federal Police repeatedly seized prohibited items. However, no further information was provided about the outcome of the investigations for the two individuals found with prohibited items.

In a positive development, an inspection revealed an arrest warrant against the 23-year-old German from the Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office for theft. The man paid a fine of 600 euros, after which the arrest warrant was lifted.

Meanwhile, an American citizen was able to continue his journey unhindered.

The altercation involved a 37-year-old German man and a 36-year-old German woman, who were both under the influence of alcohol. The two individuals attacked two Afghan nationals aged 21 and 19.

The Federal Police have not released any further details about these incidents, but their actions demonstrate a commitment to maintaining safety and order on international trains.
