In the heart of Offenbach, two separate incidents have caught the attention of local authorities.

On Wednesday afternoon, an unknown woman attempted a theft at a clothing store on Frankfurter Straße. According to reports, she was allegedly attempting to steal jackets, pants, and t-shirts worth approximately 200 euros. However, the store's anti-theft device triggered, alerting the store detective to the potential thief. The woman, using a pretext of making a gift, tried to steal a necklace from a 50-year-old resident as well. Witnesses with information on the unknown woman are asked to contact the criminal police.

In a separate incident, a traffic control operation was conducted by the Police Headquarters Southeast Hesse and the Hessian Police Headquarters Deployment. The operation, which took place at the end of the federal road 448 in the direction of Offenbach, resulted in the apprehension of 96 traffic offenders. Unfortunately, three vehicle drivers were measured at over 130 km/h in a 80 km/h zone and face a fine of 480 euros, two points in Flensburg, and a one-month driving ban.

The incidents are being investigated by the Police Headquarters Southeast Hesse. The incident occurred in Richard-Wagner-Straße in the area of the 40s house numbers. The suspect, who was detained by the store detective, was subsequently handed over to the officers of the police station. The details of the court proceedings will be released once they become available.
