Neubrandenburg Police Investigating Series of Burglary Attempts

On August 16, 2025, a series of burglary attempts were reported in Neubrandenburg, Germany. The incidents occurred at a supermarket in Einsteinstraße, a snack bar, and a grill house in Woldegker Straße.

According to the Police Inspectorate Neubrandenburg, the suspect did not enter the supermarket and fled towards an adjacent park. The suspect was described as a man approximately 20 years old, with short black hair, wearing a black short pants and a white T-shirt. The Criminal Police have initial leads regarding a possible suspect in these burglary attempts.

The Neubrandenburg Criminal Investigation Department was deployed for evidence collection due to the high trace evidence in all cases. The suspect also attempted to gain forced entry to the grill house but failed, causing damage of 500 euros. Damage to the supermarket property amounted to 3,000 euros, and the damage to the snack bar was 200 euros.

The time of the crimes at the snack bar and grill house was narrowed down to 02:57 hours and 03:24 hours by video recordings on site. The police continue to search for potential witnesses to all three incidents that occurred on Friday night.
