Law enforcement officials from the federal government carry out warranted arrests at Friedrichshafen train station

On August 21, 2025, officers from the Federal Police Inspectorate Konstanz conducted a check at Friedrichshafen city station, targeting two Polish nationals. The event resulted in the enforcement of warrants for both individuals.

One of the individuals, a 45-year-old woman, had an outstanding warrant for enforcement due to unpaid fines for violating tax regulations. She was able to pay a €750 fine at the station and continue her journey.

The other individual, a 30-year-old man, had a more serious issue. He had an outstanding warrant for enforcement due to a sentence handed down by the Ulm local court in December 2023 for violating insurance obligations. The man had not paid the fine and was unable to do so on the spot. As a result, he was ordered to serve a 100-day substitute prison sentence and was taken to Ravensburg prison.

Enrico Kuhn, the press spokesperson of the Federal Police Inspectorate Konstanz, confirmed that the check was conducted by officers from their authority and that they were responsible for public communication and media inquiries for the authority.

It was not mentioned in the previous bullet points, but it is worth noting that the state prosecutor's office in Memmingen was seeking the 30-year-old Polish man.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to legal obligations, including tax regulations and insurance obligations, to avoid such consequences.
