Law enforcement officials in Dortmund are seeking individuals who may have information regarding recent events
Accident on B 236 Near Berghofen Junction Leaves Three Seriously Injured
In an unfortunate incident, a traffic accident occurred on the B 236 heading towards Schwerte on June 22, 2025. The collision involved two vehicles: a BMW and a Skoda.
The accident took place around 5:40 AM near the Berghofen junction. As a result of the collision, both vehicles were no longer roadworthy. The BMW was overtaking at a speed higher than the permitted 80 km/h, and it is believed that this was a case of reckless driving.
Three people were seriously injured in the accident. The Skoda was driven by a 39-year-old woman from Dortmund. The BMW was driven by a 24-year-old man from Iserlohn, and the other occupant was a 35-year-old man also from Iserlohn.
The BMW driver ran a red light before the collision. Blood samples were taken from both men at the hospital as it could not be ruled out that they had consumed alcohol. Both the BMW and the Skoda were impounded as they were totaled.
Dortmund Police's specialized traffic accident investigation team took over the investigation. The accident is case number 0547 with Dortmund Police. The Dortmund Police are appealing for any witnesses who can provide further information about the driver of the BMW.

At this time, the search results do not provide the names of the two men from Iserlohn involved in the accident. The Dortmund Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and help with the investigation.
