Law Enforcement Pursuing Missing Child Investigation

On a sunny morning of April 28, 2025, a traffic accident took place at the intersection of Wiedenbrücker Straße and Dr. Wilhelm-Röpke-Straße in Lippstadt. The incident involved a dark-skinned, approximately 10-year-old boy on a bicycle and a red compact car driven by an unidentified individual.

The boy was traveling in the same direction as the driver at fault, who was turning right onto Dr. Wilhelm-Röpke-Straße. Unfortunately, the driver failed to notice the young cyclist, resulting in a collision and the boy falling off his bicycle.

Fortunately, the boy did not sustain any injuries in the accident. However, his identity remains unknown, and efforts to locate him have been unsuccessful so far.

A 61-year-old witness from Lippstadt observed the accident. The witness was driving behind the driver at fault on Wiedenbrücker Straße. After the collision, the witness approached the driver to inquire about the boy's well-being. It was only then that the driver became aware of the incident.

The police in Lippstadt are urging anyone who may have information about the boy or witnessed the accident to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact the police department directly at 02941 91000 or the Press Office of the Police Soest at 02921 - 9100 5310 or via email at [email protected]. The police department's website is http://www.polizei.nrw.de/soest.

The police are also appealing to anyone who knows the boy to contact them immediately. The driver at fault has not yet been questioned, and the license plate number of the vehicle has been recorded.

The police department in Lippstadt can also be contacted at their nearest police station for further information. The press contact for media representatives is Marco Baffa-Scinelli of the Circular Police Authority Soest.
