Headline: Prime Ministers of Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania Meet in Cesis for Informal Talks

The annual informal meeting of Baltic heads of Government took place in Latvia over the weekend, with Prime Ministers Evika Silina of Latvia, Kristen Michal of Estonia, and Gintautas Paluckas of Lithuania gathering in the historic town of Cesis.

The meeting provided an opportunity for informal discussions about issues important to the Baltic region. Silina, hosting her Baltic counterparts in Latvia, showcased her country's entrepreneurial spirit outside the capital.

The program of the meeting included a visit to Ligatne, where the leaders got acquainted with local business and even had a hands-on experience of baking bread together. The prime ministers also learned about community initiatives and Draugiem Group's contribution to the development of Cesis.

On Sunday, the prime ministers visited the Cesis Space Exploration Center, where they had a hands-on experience of STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics - education. Such visits strengthen cooperation among the Baltic countries.

The evening saw the prime ministers attending a concert called Dedication by opera singer Elina Garanca at the Vidzeme Concert Hall.

It is worth noting that Latvia is holding the presidency of the Baltic Council of Ministers this year. Past informal meetings in Cēsis with Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa included leaders such as EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Polish President Karol Nawrocki, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and prime ministers of the Netherlands, Portugal, and Luxembourg.

The meetings between the three prime ministers did not discuss the specific issues important to the Baltic region in this instance. However, such informal gatherings are crucial in fostering a sense of unity and cooperation among the Baltic countries.

Anna Udre, a communications adviser to Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina, was also present at the meeting.

Such visits and meetings strengthen the bonds between the Baltic countries, paving the way for a more united and prosperous future for the region.
