Leading poker players Camosci, Marsh, and Karlsson dominate PokerStars Live League as they advance towards EPT Barcelona
PokerStars Live League: Top Standings Ahead of EPT Barcelona
The PokerStars Live League, a ranking system for poker players based on tournament buy-ins and finishing positions, is heating up as the 2025 EPT Barcelona festival approaches. The tournament, set to take place at Casino Barcelona from August 18 to 31, promises to have a significant impact on the leaderboard.
As we stand, Enrico Camosci from Italy, Luke Marsh from England, and Steinn Thanh Du Karlsson from Iceland lead the pack. Camosci is currently in the lead for the High tier with 1,792.31 points, Marsh is at the top of the Medium tier with 1,122.81 points, and Karlsson holds the first position in the Low tier with 653.55 points.
The PokerStars Live League consists of three tiers: Low, Medium, and High. Players earn points based on their performance in tournaments. Those with buy-ins of €/£/$999 or less compete in the Low tier, €/£/$1,000 to $4,999 buy-ins for the Medium tier, and tournaments costing €/£/$5,000 or more qualify for the High tier.
The upcoming EPT Barcelona Main Event, with a €5,300 buy-in, is expected to shake up the leaderboard. The festival features dozens of events and will undoubtedly influence the standings once completed.
While the current top players hold an advantage, the standings may change drastically after this major series. Notable names in the Medium tier include Gerard Rubiralta Cortes from Spain in second place with 1,075.79 points, Kenny Hallaert from Belgium in third place with 999.01 points, and Barny Boatman from England, who parted ways with PokerStars late last month, in eighth place with 871.81 points.
In the High tier, the current Top 10 includes Klemens Roiter, Alisson Piekazewicz, Mikita Badziakouski, Jesse Lonis, Aleksejs Ponakovs, Pedro Chaves, Artur Martirosian, and Manuel Fritz. Meanwhile, in the Low tier, Steinn Thanh Du Karlsson is closely followed by David Docherty from Scotland in second place with 464.42 points.
The PokerStars Live League offers exciting prizes for the top finishers in each tier. The top three finishers win prizes, but the top ten from each tier can apply to become a Team PokerStars Pro and win a one-year contract worth €100,000.
