Leaked details suggest a more curved design for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, along with a potential iPhone 17-inspired layout.
The tech world is abuzz with rumours about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 series, set to release either in January or February next year.
According to Schmidtis Blog, the launch of the Galaxy S26 series is anticipated in the first quarter of 2026, with a likely release date in January. Unofficial renders of the Galaxy S26 Ultra have already surfaced, revealing a slight departure from the boxier look of Ultra models in the past.
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to include Pro, Edge, and Ultra models, with the Ultra being slightly taller and wider than its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The design of the entire series may bear a resemblance to the MagSafe experience of Google's Pixel 10 phones, as well as the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro.
Interestingly, there will be no 'standard' Galaxy S26 or Plus model in this series. Instead, the other two handsets in the series, aside from the Ultra, also feature a camera bump, similar to the prominent rectangular camera bump on the Galaxy S26 Edge, which resembles the iPhone 17 Pro.
In terms of charging, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series may adopt full magnet-powered Qi2 wireless charging, a move that aligns with Samsung's commitment to innovative technology.
As for key specs, they have yet to be confirmed. However, the excitement surrounding the design changes and the potential magnetic charging technology is already generating a significant buzz among tech enthusiasts.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series as we approach its launch.
