Lego's September Launch Navigates New Horizons Through Nautical Designs

The LEGO Group has announced an exciting lineup of new sets for the second half of 2022, taking fans on an adventure through iconic worlds from movies, comics, and literature.

In the realm of superheroes, the Lego Batman Arkham Asylum set promises a grand upgrade on the classic playset, with over 3000 pieces and numerous references to Batman history. The set contains an impressive 16 minifigures, including Batman, Batwing, Batwoman, Robin, Arkham Guards, Joker, Harley, Killer Croc, Penguin, Poison Ivy, and more.

Fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean series will be thrilled to hear about the upcoming release of the Black Pearl set, featuring minifigures of Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Barbossa, and Gibbs. The new set is expected to hit shelves in September.

For those who have been waiting for a Lego set based on the Wicked musical, the wait is almost over. The Lego Wicked sets feature minifigures of Glinda, Elphaba, and characters from the musical and the original Wizard of Oz. A set called Elphaba's Retreat is available now, while Glinda's Wedding Day and Glinda and Elphaba Visit Munchkinland are expected to follow shortly.

In the world of animation, Lego is releasing a set featuring Wall-E, EVE, M-O, and Hal the cockroach. The set is available now for those who can't wait to bring this beloved duo to life in brick form.

For book lovers, Lego has introduced a set of Wicked bookends featuring Glinda and Elphaba, as well as a large Ozian entry to the Lego Wall Art range. A Lego Wall Art set called Emerald City is also available, perfect for adding a splash of colour to any room.

Lego fans can also look forward to a new range of Advent Calendar sets for 2025, including ones for Lego City, Friends, Disney Frozen, Minecraft, and Star Wars.

In addition to these exciting new sets, Lego has also announced the release of a Lego Ideas set based on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The set includes minifigures inspired by the 1971 movie, a moving chocolate waterfall, Willy's office, and candy-themed flora.

Lastly, for those who have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of For Good, a new wave of Wicked sets is expected in a couple of months. The Lego Wicked sets include minidoll sets inspired by key events from the new film, as well as bookends and a large Ozian entry to the Lego Wall Art range.

The Black Pearl set is available for Lego Insiders on September 12 and for the general public on September 15. With so many exciting new sets on the horizon, it's an exciting time to be a Lego fan!
