Liverpool's left-back Kostas Tsimikas is set to join AS Roma on a season-long loan, with the Italian club agreeing to cover his wages until June 2026. This move comes as Liverpool's first-choice left-back, Andy Robertson, remains ahead in the pecking order.
Tsimikas, a Greece international, has made a total of 115 appearances for Liverpool since joining the club in 2020. He has provided 18 assists during his time at Anfield, showcasing his offensive prowess.
Initially, Atletico Madrid showed interest in Robertson, but the move did not materialize. Instead, Atletico turned their attention elsewhere, leaving Robertson and fellow left-back Milos Kerkez, who was signed by AS Roma earlier this summer, ahead of Tsimikas in the Liverpool pecking order.
