List of the leading IT service providers in Germany 2025: the top 25 tech companies ranked by size
In the dynamic world of technology, the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) is witnessing a significant shake-up, with IT giants vying for dominance. According to the Lünendonk list 2025, the rankings for IT consulting and system integration and IT services sectors paint an interesting picture.
Leading the pack is Bechtle, a German system house and managed service provider, which secured the top spot in IT consulting and system integration in the DACH region. However, the company faced a minor setback in 2024 as its sales decreased, resulting in a reduction of weekly working hours for 300 of its over 15,000 employees. Despite this, Bechtle's annual turnover stood at a robust 3.722 billion euros. Michael Guschlbauer is responsible for Bechtle's overall business in Germany and Austria, while Konstantin Ebert oversees all other international markets.
Bechtle also held the second position in the IT services sector, showcasing its versatility in the industry. The company is present in DACH, Benelux, Italy, France, Spain, and the UK, positioning itself as a regional powerhouse.
The ACP group, founded in 1993, made a significant stride in 2024 by achieving a DACH turnover of over one billion euros for the first time in its history. Computacenter, another notable player, ranked fifth in IT consulting and system integration and fourth in IT services. The British provider, however, is not present in Austria and has only four small branches in Switzerland, suggesting that its DACH revenues may be slightly higher than those from Germany alone.
Adesso SE, another contender, ranked seventh in IT consulting and system integration and sixth in IT services. The company generated 1.0371 billion euros in Germany in 2024 and 1.297 billion euros across all countries.
Meanwhile, Axians, an IT subsidiary of the French Vinci Energies group, achieved an IFRS turnover of 1.2 billion euros in the DACH region in 2024, ranking sixth in IT consulting and system integration and sixth in IT services.
The Ing. Günter Grüner GmbH entered the DACH region market in Switzerland in 2025, consolidating its activities under the single brand "pit." This move aims to provide a unified market presence and increased efficiency across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The pit Group, one of the largest providers in the DACH region for digital building twin software solutions, is optimistic about the second half of 2025 due to potential higher IT investments by the public sector.
These rankings exclude management consulting and auditing companies such as Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Roland Berger, PwC, and others, focusing on the pure-play IT service providers in the DACH region. With these giants continuing to push boundaries and innovate, the future of the IT industry in the DACH region looks promising.
