Live steed graces Parisian runway during Post Malone's inaugural fashion event
In a fusion of music and fashion, Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, has debuted a new fashion line called Austin Post. The inaugural collection, named "Season One: At First Light," made its grand entrance in Paris at the Hôtel de Bourdon - Maison Pozzo di Borgo.
The collection draws inspiration from Dallas western culture and Southwest ranch influences, reflecting Malone's Texan roots and time spent in the Utah mountains. Western-inspired streetwear like dark jeans with golden star emblems, suede jackets, elegant trousers, and a velvet blue cowboy jacket were highlighted by a unique runway moment where a model rode a real horse.
Lucchese Bootmaker was the exclusive footwear brand for the Austin Post debut, adding a touch of authenticity to the collection. Malone himself walked the runway at the end of the show, wearing a light-wash denim-on-denim look, a straw hat, and a statement belt.
The Austin Post label fuses Dallas' western heritage with the spirit of the Southwest, reframed through an Americana lens. The collection features a variety of western-inspired pieces, including fringe jackets, dark-wash denim embroidered with stars, plaid tops, and cowboy hats.
Malone's fashion line was featured on a recent episode of Radio, a daily morning show on SiriusXM. The comments on Malone's Instagram post are enthusiastic, with users expressing readiness and excitement.
In an interview with WWD, Malone revealed that he has always wanted to create a fashion line. This latest venture marks another addition to his career resume, following his successful music career.
