Felix Auger-Aliassime and Jannik Sinner will square off in the US Open men's semifinals on Friday, September 5, 2025. The highly-anticipated match will take place at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, with a start time of 7 p.m. ET.
Auger-Aliassime has reached the semifinals of the US Open after a gruelling four-hour match against Alex de Minaur. The Canadian tennis star erased a set point with a 120 mph ace when he was one point from trailing two sets to none against de Minaur. In the end, Auger-Aliassime hit 22 aces and finished with a total of 51 winners to secure his place in the semifinals.
This is Auger-Aliassime's second Grand Slam semifinal and his second at the US Open. His previous Grand Slam semifinal was at the US Open in 2021. In a remarkable feat, Auger-Aliassime has eliminated three seeded players during a single major for the first time, including No. 8 de Minaur, No. 3 Alexander Zverev, and No. 15 Andrey Rublev.
Meanwhile, Sinner booked his spot in the semifinals after beating No. 10 Lorenzo Musetti in the first all-Italian matchup in a men's major quarterfinal. Sinner will face Auger-Aliassime for a berth in the championship match.

In the other semifinal, No. 2 Alcaraz faces No. 7 Novak Djokovic. Auger-Aliassime mentioned that four years ago, he advanced in the US Open when Carlos Alcaraz stopped playing due to an injured leg muscle.
