Liverpool star Mohamed Salah criticizes a fan account for a disrespectful post
Liverpool's Summer Transfers and New Arrivals
Liverpool have made some significant moves in the summer transfer market, spending a total of £446 million on new signings. Among the new arrivals are Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, who joined the club for £125 million and £116.5 million respectively.
Alexander Isak, the Swedish striker, joined Liverpool from Newcastle United and is targeting his debut away at Burnley after the international break. Isak's transfer was confirmed on the last day of the summer transfer window, and he will wear the No.9 jersey following the departure of Darwin Nunez.
Darwin Nunez, who joined Liverpool for a then-club record £85m in the summer of 2022 from Benfica, has left the club for Bayern Munich. During his time with Liverpool, Nunez scored 40 goals and registered 26 assists. Along with the Premier League title, he also won the FA Cup, two League Cups, and the Community Shield.
Luis Diaz, who arrived from Porto in January 2022, has also left Liverpool for Al Hilal. Diaz's most productive season with Liverpool was last season, where he was directly involved in 25 goals. In total, he was involved in 148 matches for Liverpool in all competitions, scoring 41 goals and providing 23 assists. Diaz's No.7 shirt was taken by Wirtz at Liverpool.
Wirtz and Isak will join Mohamed Salah in Liverpool's new front line. Salah, who has been a constant presence in Liverpool's attack, recently criticized a fan account for disrespecting Liverpool's former players. His response to the fan account's post has been liked over 100,000 times.
Despite the changes in the squad, Salah remains optimistic about Liverpool's prospects for the upcoming season. With the addition of Isak and Wirtz, Liverpool fans are eager to see how the new-look front line will perform on the pitch.
