Livestock pilfered from charitable organization
In the peaceful town of Modautal, Germany, a unique black sheep named Lotte was stolen from the Happy Kids association's farm last week. Lotte, a 3-year-old ewe, is not just any sheep; she is one of a kind for the charitable organisation that cares for chronically or psychologically ill and neglected children and young people.
The association, which runs an animal shelter in Modautal, houses nine mother sheep, including Lotte. The animals were peacefully sleeping when the theft occurred, and the perpetrators are believed to have gained access to the stable at night.
The stolen sheep is not the first incident of animal theft in the Modautal area. In a recent development, fighting roosters were dropped off on the association's grounds, adding to the concern for the safety and well-being of the animals under the association's care.
Lotte's black lamb, left behind, is now being cared for by the association. Corinna Ertl, the association's chairwoman, reported that the lamb is constantly crying for its mother. The association noticed that one sheep was missing upon counting the sheep, and they immediately reported the incident to the police.
The police are actively involved in the investigation, with witnesses urged to contact the Dieburg police for any information that could lead to the recovery of Lotte. Lotte, described as being very approachable, is a beloved figure within the association and the community.
The Happy Kids association expressed their deep concern over the incident, hoping for Lotte's safe return. They reiterated their commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all the animals in their care, including Lotte's black lamb.
As the investigation continues, the community and the association remain hopeful for Lotte's safe return. In the meantime, they continue to care for the animals on the farm, hoping for a peaceful resolution to this unexpected turn of events.
