The founder of Kick, Ed Craven, is no stranger to the streaming world. He is also the co-founder of Kick, along with Bijan Tehrani and streaming personality Trainwreckstv. The trio launched Kick in 2022 with the intent of competing with Twitch. Now, they are partnering with BONK.fun to integrate livestreaming into their platform.

It's important to note that this isn't the first time Pump.fun, another streaming platform, has ventured into livestreaming. They launched a similar feature in 2022, but due to user-engaged dangerous stunts and hostile behaviour, they had to shut it down in late 2024. However, Pump.fun reintroduced livestreaming in April 2025 under stricter moderation rules.
