News Article: Multiple Incidents Reported in Cloppenburg and Lindern
In the past few days, several incidents have been reported in the towns of Cloppenburg and Lindern, including car thefts, property damage, and a fire.
On October 21, 2024, between 6:00 PM and 7:30 AM, unknown perpetrators stole a multimedia device from a Skoda Yeti parked on Leipzig Street in Cloppenburg, causing an estimated damage of 1,000.00 euros. Similarly, the infotainment system was stolen from a Skoda Kodiaq parked on Rosengarten Street in Cloppenburg, causing an estimated damage of 1,000.00 euros. Additionally, unknown individuals sprayed the doors of a sports hall on Vahrener Street with paint, causing an estimated damage of 500.00 euros.
In a separate incident, on October 21, 2024, unknown individuals also sprayed a school building in Lankumer Feldweg with paint, causing an estimated damage of 2,000.00 euros. The fire department in Lindern was called to extinguish a fire that occurred in a machine at a company in Mühlenweg, Lindern. However, the amount of damage caused by the fire is currently unknown.

In a related incident, on October 22, 2024, at 2:29 PM, a 30-year-old man from Lastrup drove a car on Zum Brook street after consuming intoxicants. The preliminary test for the man was positive for THC and amphetamines. He was prohibited from continuing to drive, and a blood sample was taken.
