Local authorities across seventeen regions designated with LSI labels due to enhanced IT security measures implemented by our organization.

In a significant stride towards modern and secure administration, 17 municipalities in the Regensburg district have successfully obtained the LSI seal 3.0 certification. This achievement, announced at a recent ceremony held at the Nittendorf market's meeting hall, is the result of a collaborative effort between the involved municipalities and an external data protection consultancy, Mein-Datenschutzberater.

The project for the implementation and documentation of LSI seal version 3.0 technical and organizational measures has been ongoing since 2023, initiated by the Regensburg Real Estate Office. The office, led by Christian Schindlbeck, played a pivotal role in coordinating the project on behalf of the Regensburg District Office.

Due to the centralised IT management by the Regensburg Real Estate Office, many measures could be implemented without individual consideration by each administration. This central organisation supports a modern administration that is citizen-friendly, efficient, and future-oriented.

The Information Security Officer (ISB) positions of the individual administrations are jointly occupied by the Real Estate Office, ensuring a unified approach to IT security. This collaborative structure has been instrumental in the successful completion of the LSI seal 3.0 certification process.

The successful certification according to the LSI seal 3.0 demonstrates that the municipalities in the organisation are well-positioned in terms of IT security and digitization. District Councilor Tanja Schweiger commended the achievement, stating, "This certification is a testament to our commitment to IT security and digitization, positioning us favourably for the future."

The awarding ceremony was attended by Finance and Home Minister Albert Füracker, LSI President Bernd Geisler, and District Councilor Tanja Schweiger. The municipalities of the Regensburg district that have received the LSI seal 3.0 include the Administrative Community Alteglofsheim, Municipality Bernhardswald, Administrative Community Donaustauf, Administrative Community Kallmünz, Municipality Köfering, Municipality Mintraching, Market Nittendorf, Municipality Pentling, Municipality Pattendorf, Administrative Community Sünching, Municipality Tegernheim, Municipality Thalmässing, Municipality Wenzenbach, Municipality Wiesent, Administrative Community Wörth Donau, and Municipality Zeitlarn.

The Regensburg Real Estate Office's success in the previous year's fall test for the implementation of the BSI basic protection profile for municipal administrations underscores their commitment to maintaining high standards in IT security. This latest achievement further solidifies their position as a leader in secure and efficient administration in the Regensburg district.
