The Government of Lower Bavaria hosted a significant meeting on Tuesday, marking a step towards increased cooperation in digitalization efforts. The event brought together digitalization commissioners, e-government specialists, and representatives from Lower Bavarian district administrations, including the Digitalization Task Force of the city of Landshut.

The meeting served as the first joint exchange for these key figures, providing opportunities for networking and information sharing. The agenda covered a wide range of topics, including the handling of artificial intelligence, inter-agency electronic communication, and the special electronic government mailbox "beBPo."

One of the main objectives was to foster collaboration between the Government of Lower Bavaria, district administrations, and the Digitalization Task Force. Participants discussed ways to enhance digitalization in Lower Bavaria, with a focus on online procedures. It was highlighted that, depending on the authority, up to 250 different procedures can be submitted online without visiting the office.

The Online Access Act was among the discussed topics, with the meeting aiming to facilitate a discussion among the digitalization commissioners and e-government specialists. The participants also learned about the digitalization status of different authorities, exchanging insights and best practices.

The meeting was also significant as it marked the beginning of a regular digital exchange for future administrative modernization. This regular exchange is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring the continued digitalization and modernization of Lower Bavaria's administrative processes.

However, it's worth noting that there is no information available about the name of the digitalisation commissioner ("Digitalisationskommissar") of the government of Upper Bavaria who initiated the meeting. Despite this, the meeting was a successful first step in strengthening cooperation and advancing digitalization in Lower Bavaria.
