In a significant development for Russian football, the RFPF Dispute Resolution Chamber has permanently lifted the ban on Moscow-based club, Locomotive, from registering new players. The ban, which had been in effect since September 3rd, was imposed due to unpaid debt to former defender Solomon Kverkvelia.

The ban's removal comes after Locomotive, also known as Loko or Railwaymen, has fully resolved the dispute that led to the ban. The club not only settled the debt with Solomon Kverkvelia but also paid interest for the delay in bonus payments, which were related to the 2019/20 season.

The RFPF Dispute Resolution Chamber, the governing body under which Loko operates, made the decision to lift the ban following the resolution of the dispute. The closure of case No. 057-21, which was related to Locomotive, officially marks the end of the issue.

With the ban now permanently lifted, Locomotive can now proceed with its player registration process without any restrictions. This means the club, which competes in Russian football competitions, is now in a position to field a fully registered squad.

The settlement of the debt with Solomon Kverkvelia and the payment of interest for the delay in bonuses were the conditions for the lifting of the ban. This resolution brings a positive end to a challenging period for the club and allows it to focus on its football operations moving forward.

Locomotive, a well-known and respected club in Russian football, is based in Moscow. As a result of this decision, the club can look forward to competing in upcoming matches with a fully registered squad.
