The 69th edition of the BFI London Film Festival is set to take place in London, England from Oct. 8-19, in partnership with American Express. This significant film event in the UK's cultural calendar is set to showcase a diverse range of movies, including several new additions.

One of the highly anticipated films is Paolo Sorrentino's La Grazia, a movie about a fictional president reaching the end of their term. Starring Toni Servillo, La Grazia will have its U.K. premiere at the festival.

Another noteworthy film is Claire Denis' The Fence, an adaptation of Bernard-Marie Koltès' play Black Battles With Dogs. The Fence takes place on a white-run construction site in West Africa and will also have its U.K. premiere at the festival.

The construction site setting is a stark contrast to the Intercontinental Hotel in Vienna, where Willem Dafoe's character Lucius, an American veteran hotel manager, fights to save his building from being sold and demolished in The Souffleur. Directed by Gastón Solnicki, this film will also have its U.K. premiere at the festival.

Sian Clifford stars in Samuel Abrahams' Lady, a mockumentary featuring a narcissistic aristocrat. Lady will have its world premiere at the festival.

The star-studded lineup for the festival also includes Matt Dillon, who stars in an unnamed movie, and Mia McKenna-Bruce, whose role is yet to be disclosed.

The BFI London Film Festival is a platform for both established and emerging filmmakers to showcase their work, and this year's edition promises to be a fascinating exploration of various themes and stories. Don't miss out on the opportunity to be a part of this exciting cinematic journey.
