Long-standing Syracuse meat market venturing into the eastern suburbs with a brand-new eatery
In the heart of Manlius, a new dining destination is set to open its doors next year. Steigs Grillhouse, a venture from the owners of the renowned Liehs & Steigerwald butcher shop, will be gracing the village with its presence in 2024.
Chuck Madonna and Jeff Steigerwald, the masterminds behind this exciting project, are no strangers to the culinary scene. Together, they will bring Steigs Grillhouse to life at 228 E. Seneca St., previously a bank branch and now a promising location near Pavone's Pizza.
The butcher shop at 1857 Grant Boulevard, Syracuse, will continue to operate as usual, providing top-quality cuts of beef, pork, sausage, and more. These fresh ingredients will be the cornerstone of Steigs Grillhouse's menu, which promises to offer more than just steaks. Expect a variety of options, including burgers, cheesesteaks, bratwursts, and more.
Steigs Grillhouse will also feature a full bar, making it an ideal spot for a casual dinner or a night out with friends. The restaurant is not primarily a steakhouse, but rather a place where everyone can find something to savour.
The concept of Steigs Grillhouse is reminiscent of the restaurant/bar/market that Liehs & Steigerwald operated in downtown Syracuse from 2015 to 2021. This successful venture bodes well for the new restaurant, which is expected to be a great fit for the village of Manlius.
With approximately 30 parking spaces on site and additional municipal parking nearby, finding a spot will be a breeze. The A.W. Wander pizza shop and beer bar, across from Steigs Grillhouse, and the Manlius Cinema, down the street, add to the vibrant atmosphere of the area.
For those who have enjoyed the seasonal food truck operated by the butcher shop, fret not. The truck will still be available for private events and public appearances.
