Looters targeted a fuel storage area, smashing windows and burglarizing the premises. The incident occurred at a forest swimming pool, where a frontal collision took place, injuring one or more individuals.

In the past few days, several incidents have been reported across West Hesse, including a break-in at a forest swimming pool, a head-on collision, fuel theft, and burglaries.

On Sunday night, between 8:00 PM and 7:30 AM, there was a break-in at the forest swimming pool in Neu-Anspach on Weilstraße. The intruders initially tried to force open the cashier's area, then attempted to enter the adjacent café through a window. However, no further information about the loot taken during the break-in has been disclosed, as the exact details are currently under investigation.

On Monday morning, a head-on collision occurred on State Road 3041 near Köppern. The collision involved a 67-year-old man driving an Opel, a Mercedes Vito, and a Mercedes EQE. The first suspect, described as having blonde short hair, wearing a grey t-shirt, dark pants, and dark shoes, was observed stealing fuel in Rod an der Weil on Sunday at approximately 2:20 AM. The second suspect, with brown short hair, wearing black pants with the "Engelbert Strauß" brand print, a black t-shirt, and dark shoes, was reportedly involved in the fuel theft incident.

Overnight Saturday to Sunday, unknown individuals broke into a single-family home in Gonzenheim on Ellerhöweg. The police in Gonzenheim are taking tips on the break-in at (06172) 120-0. The burglars climbed over the garage onto a balcony and smashed a window with a stone before ransacking a room and fleeing. Possible witnesses of this incident are encouraged to come forward.

Unfortunately, a serious accident also occurred on Monday morning. The collision involved the 67-year-old man driving the Opel, the Mercedes Vito, and the Mercedes EQE. All vehicles involved were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away. The driver of the EQE also went to the hospital for further examination, while the 67-year-old passenger in the Opel was seriously injured and had to be rescued by the fire brigade. The total damage from the collision is estimated at around 200,000 euros.

The state road had to be temporarily completely closed for the duration of the recovery operations and the accident investigation. The police in Usingen are also investigating the break-in at the Neu-Anspach Forest Swimming Pool, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact them at (06081) 9208-0.
