Lowered Incident Count Rises Below 100

The 7-day incidence rate for Rhein-Kreis Neuss currently stands at 96.3, a figure that underscores the importance of adhering to public health measures.
Last week, a total of 1,574 PCR tests were conducted at the Neuss and Grevenbroich corona test centers and through mobile testing teams. Meanwhile, 34,265 antigen rapid tests were conducted by providers commissioned by the district, resulting in 182 positive cases.
Sadly, the region has seen two more deaths due to COVID-19 complications. A 73-year-old woman from Neuss and an 83-year-old man from Dormagen have passed away. This brings the total number of COVID-19 fatalities in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss region to 292.
On a positive note, 19,139 people have received their second COVID-19 vaccination, and 53,613 have received their first dose at the Rhein-Kreis Neuss vaccination center and mobile service. As of now, 66 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19 in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss.
