Lübeck's VFB secures a 1-1 draw in their match against Bremen.
In a thrilling contest at Bremen's stadium, VfB Lübeck continued their impressive form, extending their unbeaten streak to six games in a draw against SV Werder Bremen II.
The match began with a bang as John Posselt converted a precise free kick in the 2nd minute, giving VfB Lübeck an early 1-0 lead. Coach Guerino Capretti made two changes to the starting lineup, and the alterations seemed to pay off as the team dominated the early stages of the game.
However, Werder Bremen II fought back and equalised in the 72nd minute through Isak Hansen-Aaroen's header after a rebound from VfB Lübeck goalkeeper Gavin Didzilatis. Didzilatis had earlier preserved the lead with a great save against Jannic Ehlers in the 23rd minute.
Both teams had good chances in the final minutes, but neither Posselt nor Igboanugo could score the winner. Despite the draw, VfB Lübeck can be proud of their performance and earned a deserved point.
VfB Lübeck's upcoming match is against SV Todesfelde in the Regionalliga Nord next Sunday. The coach of SV Todesfelde is Björn Sörensen.
