The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, renowned for its robust off-road capabilities and luxury appeal, has undergone a facelift and is set to expand its model lineup, as announced by Mercedes-Benz AG's management team.

After a successful 2018 redesign, the G-Class continues to thrive, surpassing its predecessor in sales success. Despite high prices and growing competition, demand for the iconic SUV remains consistently strong.

The facelifted G-Class boasts a series of subtle yet significant changes. The front, grille, bumpers, A-pillar trim, insulation material, and spoiler lip have all been updated, giving the vehicle a more modern look.

Under the hood, the G-Class offers a range of powertrains. The G 500 is now equipped with a straight-six and mild hybrid technology, producing 449 PS with electric boost, and priced at 132,328 euros (+1.6%). The G 450 d, equipped with electric assistance, produces 367 PS and costs 122,808 euros (+3.8%). The AMG G 63, the only V8 model, delivers 585 PS, a mild hybrid system, and optional "AMG Active Ride Control" suspension, priced at 189,329 euros (+1.1%).

In some markets, demand for the G-Class exceeds supply, a testament to its enduring popularity. For off-road enthusiasts, a new operating concept with an off-road cockpit and "Transparent Engine Hood" has been introduced, ensuring the G-Class's off-road capabilities remain at the forefront.

In an exciting development, an open cabriolet variant of the G-Class is being introduced. While further details are yet to be revealed, it is confirmed that the open-top G-Class will be available in many parts of the world, including the USA.

The success of the G-Class is not limited to its off-road capabilities and luxurious equipment. The vehicle also offers modern technology and higher driving comfort, making it a compelling choice for both urban and off-road adventures. The latest MBUX system, new steering wheels, additional comfort extras, and expanded assistance systems are all available inside the G-Class.

Sporty AMG variants of the G-Class, with their powerful engines and dynamic handling, contribute significantly to its global success. The G-Class's enduring popularity, coupled with the expansion of its model lineup, promises an exciting future for this iconic vehicle.
