Germany's Major Events Calendar for 2025
Get ready for an exciting year ahead as Germany prepares to host a series of major events across various industries. Here's a rundown of the key events happening in 2025:
Consumer Electronics
IFA, the renowned consumer electronics fair, is set to take place in Berlin from September 5 to 9, 2025. With expectations running high, IFA 2025 is poised to break the 200,000 visitor mark, promising an unmissable experience for tech enthusiasts.
Automotive
The IAA Mobility event, scheduled to take place in Munich from September 9 to 14, 2025, will showcase the latest advancements in the automotive industry. Admission to the outdoor exhibition stands of BMW, Audi, Mercedes & Co. is free, except for expert conferences.
In Essen, the Essen Motor Show, an automobile fair, is scheduled for November 29 to December 7, 2025. Meanwhile, the Caravan Salon, a trade fair for caravans and motorhomes, will take place in Düsseldorf from August 29 to September 7, 2025.
Gaming
Gamescom, the world's largest video game event, is slated for an August date at the Koelnmesse in Cologne in 2025. Last year's Gamescom attracted approximately 357,000 visitors, making it the second largest event in Germany. This year, it is suspected that the event will place itself at the top among the largest events in Germany.
Spiel, a board game fair, will also take place in Essen from October 23 to 26, 2025, and in Cologne from October 4 to 8, 2025, as part of Anuga, a trade event for the international food and beverage industry. Spiel Essen is expected to attract over 200,000 visitors, while Anuga, every two years, attracts up to half a million visitors.
Food and Agriculture
Anuga, the food and beverage industry's leading trade fair, is scheduled to take place in Cologne from October 4 to 8, 2025. Meanwhile, Agritechnica, an agricultural machinery fair, is scheduled for Hannover from November 9 to 15, 2025, and in Cologne from mid-November 2025. Both events are expected to attract up to half a million visitors.
Fitness and Books
The fitness fair FIBO, held in Cologne, attracts approximately 154,000 visitors, making it the second-largest event in Cologne after Gamescom. The Frankfurt Book Fair, a trade fair for books, is scheduled to take place in Frankfurt from October 15 to 19, 2025.
Motorcycles
Intermot, a motorcycle fair, is scheduled to take place in Cologne from December 4 to 7, 2025.
Other Events
Bauma, the largest event in Germany with over 600,000 visitors, took place in April 2025. However, it only occurs every three years.
The format of Gamescom includes conferences, concerts, and shows in addition to the main event. Gamescom is a late-summer video game event. The IAA Mobility event in Munich, starting next week, is expected to attract a significant number of visitors, potentially similar to other major events, depending on the weather.
