Major update for Xbox's Genshin Impact approaching - here's what you should expect about version 6.0 Luna I
Genshin Impact players, get ready for an exciting new adventure! The highly anticipated update, previously known as Version 6.0, has been renamed Luna I and is set to release on September 10, 2025. This update marks a significant milestone, marking the start of a new chapter in the game's world.
Luna I takes us to Lempo Isle, home to Nasha Town, the central hub of Luna I. In Nasha Town, you'll find the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop, where you can meet two new characters, Aino and Ineffa. Aino, a 4-star Hydro Claymore, is available for free by completing the Archon Quest. Defeating Knuckle Duckle unlocks a special shop offering cosmetics for Aino and Ineffa.
Exploring Luna I, you'll encounter Nod-Krai, a location consisting of three main islands: Hiisi Island, Lempo Isle, and Paha Isle. The new main quest introduced in Luna I, called the "Nod-Krai" quest series, promises an engaging storyline.
Luna I also introduces a new progression system tied to exploration and world quests—Meeting Points. Completing these will reward you with exciting new items and experiences.
A key figure in Nod-Krai's story as part of the Frostmoon Scions is Lauma, a 5-star Dendro Catalyst. The update also brings a new combat mechanic, Lunar reactions, which includes a new twist on the Bloom reaction between Dendro and Hydro, called Lunar-Bloom.
For those looking to strengthen their characters, the Radiant Moonfly, a new world boss, provides materials used for character ascension.
Luna I also brings some exciting anniversary rewards. Logging in on September 28, 2025, grants 1,600 Primogems to celebrate the game's anniversary. Additionally, a seven-day login event will run, offering up to 10 Intertwined Fates and one Dust of Enlightenment daily. A new pet and a floating bed furnishing are also part of the anniversary rewards.
Players can also choose a free standard 5-star character with enough materials to raise that character's level to 60. Among the new characters, Flins, a 5-star Electro Polearm user and a Lightkeeper, is one to watch out for.
In other news, support for PlayStation 4 will end in April 2026. Genshin Impact will also be available on Xbox Series X|S in November 2024.
As you explore Luna I, keep an eye out for Kuuhenki, elemental lifeforms tied to Kuuvahki energy. Approaching them grants an empowered state with special abilities.
So, are you ready to embark on this exciting new journey in Genshin Impact's Luna I? See you there, Traveller!
