Malay-language film 'Hening Rindu' clinches the award for Best Sound Design at the ContentAsia Awards 2025, having previously won the AJL.

In a thrilling turn of events, the Malaysian song "Hening Rindu" has clinched the Best Sound Design Category at the ContentAsia Awards 2025, held in Taipei, Taiwan. The song, sung by Marsha Milan Londoh, was composed by Ikhwan Fatanna Mokhtar and arranged by Wan Saleh.

The win came as a surprise to Ikhwan, who shared that he was not initially aware that "Hening Rindu" was nominated for the prestigious award. The news was shared with him by Marsha Milan Londoh and several staff from Alternate Records.

Ikhwan expressed his gratitude for Wan Saleh's work on "Hening Rindu", stating that the melody and lyrics of the song stood out more thanks to Wan Saleh's arrangement. Marsha, too, expressed her gratitude for the success of "Hening Rindu" and highlighted the song as a result of teamwork.

"Hening Rindu" previously crowned champion of the 39th Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) in February, and its win at the ContentAsia Awards is a testament to its enduring popularity. The song's success has not gone unnoticed, with Ikhwan expressing his hope that his songs will be heard not only in Malaysia but also abroad.

The ContentAsia Awards is an annual event that recognises premium video content and talent achievements across various platforms in the Asian region. This year's edition featured over 150 nominated programs, highlighting the strong competition in the regional creative content industry.

The Asian TV series "Beyond the Horizon" won the Gold Medal in the category "Best Sound Design Created in Asia for an Asian TV Series/Show". The ContentAsia Awards serves as a significant recognition for premium video content and talent achievements in the Asian region.

Ikhwan, who has previously collaborated with Indonesian artistes Rizky Febian and Nissa Sabyan, expressed that the ContentAsia Awards win serves as motivation to continue producing quality works for artistes. He stated that he is looking forward to creating more musical masterpieces that will resonate with audiences across the region and beyond.
