Mall located in southern Romania receives EUR 85.5 million refinancing support from Prime Kapital
In the heart of Pitești, southern Romania, the urban regeneration project known as Argeș Mall has breathed new life into a former industrial area of approximately 13 hectares. Developed by Prime Kapital, the mall opened its doors to the public in April 2024.
The development of Argeș Mall not only brought a modern retail space with over 150 shops and restaurants but also significant improvements to the city's public infrastructure. The mall includes a park, a food court with a panoramic terrace overlooking Prundu lake, and connections for both pedestrians and cars linking the Tudor Vladimirescu neighbourhood to the rest of the city.
These connections, part of the Argeș Mall development, have served to bridge the gap between the neighbourhood and the city, making it easier for residents and visitors to explore the area. The improvements to public infrastructure, including the park and the connections for pedestrians and cars, have been funded by an investment made specifically for Argeș Mall.
Prime Kapital recently secured a EUR 85.5 million refinancing facility from Erste Group Bank AG to continue supporting the growth and development of Argeș Mall. The mall now stands as a retail hub with public amenities, attracting visitors from all over the city and beyond.
The transformation of this industrial area into a vibrant retail and leisure destination is a testament to the potential for urban regeneration projects. Argeș Mall is more than just a shopping centre; it's a symbol of progress and development for Pitești and its residents.
