Man in Almaty saved from self-immolation by military personnel (VIDEO)
In a series of unsettling events, separate instances of self-immolation have been reported across Kazakhstan. However, it is important to note that these incidents are not connected to each other or to any specific entertainment venue.
The first reported incident occurred near an unspecified location in Almaty airport. A man, who was under the influence of alcohol, set his clothes on fire. Thankfully, a special rapid response unit officer named Bekmyrzа Muhamedov, who began his work in 2022, was on the scene and managed to extinguish the flames, thereby saving the man's life.
In a different part of the country, a man attempted self-immolation at a market in Pavlodar. This incident did not involve any alcohol consumption and did not involve minors, as two minors who witnessed the incident reported it to the police.
Another self-immolation attempt was reported among workers in Kostanai, but details about the outcomes of this incident and the one in Pavlodar are not available. It is also worth mentioning that the self-immolation incidents did not occur near Dostyk Avenue and Abai Street, as previously speculated.
Despite these distressing incidents, it is reassuring to know that Kazakhstan's rapid response units are on alert, ready to respond to such emergencies. The victim in the Almaty incident was handed over to a medical team, including psychologists, to ensure they receive the necessary care and support.
As always, it is crucial to remember that help is available for those who may be struggling. If you or someone you know is in distress, please reach out to local mental health services or crisis hotlines for assistance.
