In the scorching heat of the Balaton Park circuit, the Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying session saw an electrifying display of speed and skill from the MotoGP riders.

Leading the charge was Marco Bezzecchi on the Aprilia RS-GP, who set a new absolute track record with a blistering time of 1:36.800. This impressive performance marked Bezzecchi's first-ever qualifying session victory in the MotoGP category.

However, the spotlight was stolen by Marc Márquez, who secured his eighth 'pole position' of the season with a stunning time of 1:36.518. This performance not only broke Márquez's own circuit record in Hungary but also established a new absolute record in the MotoGP category.

Márquez's dominance was evident throughout the session, with riders such as Pol Espargaro and Enea Bastianini waiting for him on track during the qualifying session. Fabio di Giannantonio secured the second position with a faster second lap than Brad Binder, who claimed the third spot.

The second row of the starting grid will see Enea Bastianini, Franco Morbidelli, Fabio Quartararo, and Márquez's teammate, Francesco 'Pecco' Bagnaia. Bagnaia will start fifteenth on the grid due to his first-round elimination and Miller's penalty, but gains a spot due to Miller's penalty.

Jorge Martín, who finished seventh in the qualifying session, will start from the sixth row due to his position. However, he gains a spot due to Miller's penalty and will start seventeenth in the race. Pedro Acosta, who was the fastest of the first day in the free practice session, crashed out in the qualifying session, heavily damaging his bike, and had to rush to his pit to try and get out with the second bike.

Alex Márquez and Jack Miller faced a penalty of losing three positions on the starting grid due to an incident with Bagnaia. As a result, Alex Márquez will start fourteenth in the race, despite qualifying in eleventh, and Miller will start tenth.

This is Márquez's seventy-fourth 'pole position' in MotoGP and his 102nd since he started competing in the motorcycle world championship. The Hungarian Grand Prix promises to be an exciting race, with Márquez aiming to extend his lead in the championship standings.
