Marketing giant Absolut chooses Ogilvy as their global creative agency of record.
In a significant move, Pernod Ricard's iconic vodka brand, Absolut, has announced the appointment of Ogilvy as its global creative agency of record. The decision, made following a competitive pitch conducted by Observatory International, marks a shift from Absolut's previous partnership with BBH for creative advertising.
The new partnership is set to focus on Absolut's lead market priorities, with Ogilvy tasked with handling global strategic and creative duties for the Absolut brand. The main goal for Ogilvy is to grow and accelerate Absolut's brand leadership position.
Prior to this, Absolut had been working with DDB Worldwide as its global creative agency. However, it remains unclear if BBH participated in the review process for the new global creative agency.
Goodby Silverstein & Partners and Wieden+Kennedy, who were finalists in the pitch process for Absolut's account, have not yet responded to requests for comment as of the article's publication.
This change in creative direction for Absolut Vodka is a testament to the brand's commitment to continuous growth and innovation. As Ogilvy embarks on this new journey with Absolut, the anticipation is high for the creative campaigns that are set to follow.
