New Automotive Releases: Renault Kiger Shines on the Track, Volkswagen Golf R on the Horizon

The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as two new vehicles are set to make their mark. Renault's Kiger and Maruti Suzuki's upcoming SUV are creating a stir, while Volkswagen prepares to unveil the next generation Golf R in 2027.

Renault Kiger: A Standout Sub-4m SUV

The Renault Kiger, recently reviewed on the track, has proven to be a light, agile, and responsive vehicle. In a market saturated with sub-4m SUVs that are essentially hatchbacks on stilts, the Kiger stands apart with its sporty character. Renault has made a concerted effort to create a small SUV that is genuinely fun to drive.

The Kiger's focus on performance and fun is evident in its drive modes, which bring noticeable changes to its performance. However, the firm suspension may not appeal to everyone in daily use, and the overall refinement could be improved. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Kiger's unique performance characteristics warrant a second look.

Maruti Suzuki's New SUV: A Competitor in the Making

Maruti Suzuki is set to launch a new SUV on September 3, aiming to compete with the Hyundai Creta in India. While details about the vehicle are scarce, the design of its tail-lamp has been teased. The tail-lamp features a full LED unit with a three-dimensional effect and a slim brake light flanked by turn indicators.

Volkswagen Golf R: A Powerhouse in the Making

Volkswagen is developing a new Golf R, expected to debut in 2027. The new model is expected to be equipped with Audi's 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine from the RS3. This engine will provide the new Golf R with around 400 bhp and 480 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful version of the hot hatch yet upon its debut.

The new 5-cylinder engine used by Audi in the RS3 will be used in a future Volkswagen model, specifically in the new Golf R. This model will be equipped with the 2.5-liter five-cylinder EA855 engine currently in the Audi RS3.

Renault's Upcoming Lineup

Renault is not resting on its laurels. Alongside the Kiger, the company is planning to launch several new cars, including the Kardian, Duster 2025, Kwid EV, Bigster, and Triber. The Kiger, with its unique performance characteristics, is a promising start to Renault's upcoming lineup.

As we eagerly await the release of these new vehicles, it's clear that innovation and excitement are at the forefront of the automotive industry. Whether it's the agility of the Renault Kiger, the power of the upcoming Volkswagen Golf R, or the mystery surrounding Maruti Suzuki's new SUV, there's no denying that the future of automotive is looking bright.
