Mayor Glüsenkamp's Rationale Behind His Counter Actions

Jonas Glüsenkamp, Bamberg's Second Mayor and Social Affairs Officer, will once again lend his talents behind the bar for a good cause. On Thursday, August 21, 2025, the Sandkirchweih event will kick off at 6 PM, and Glüsenkamp will be present to mix cocktails, long drinks, and serve beer.

The event will take place at the Kleinstadthafen, specifically at Leinritt 11a, and will run for an unspecified duration. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Glüsenkamp will serve at the Sandkirchweih.

The proceeds from the Sandkirchweih event will be donated to the non-profit organisation "Freund statt fremd" to support their integration efforts. In previous years, donations from Glüsenkamp's bartending events have been given to various causes, including "People in Need" (2022), the contraceptive fund of pregnancy counseling centres (2023), and "NEO Bamberg" (2024).

Sven Goller and René Tröger, the owners of the Kleinstadthafen, are supporting the Sandkirchweih event by topping up the working wage. However, it's important to note that the working wage for the Sandkirchweih event on August 25, 2025, is not mentioned as being topped up by Goller and Tröger on that specific date.

Glüsenkamp invites all Bamberg residents to attend the Sandkirchweih event and contribute to a worthy cause. For those who are unable to attend but wish to support, they can visit the website for "Freund statt fremd" at Integration Together - Freund statt fremd.

The Sandkirchweih event is just one of many ways that Glüsenkamp is committed to giving back to the community. His dedication to service and charity is truly inspiring and a testament to his commitment to making Bamberg a better place for all its residents.
