In a significant move to address the needs of residents, the regional Ministry of Health in Kamchatka Krai has stepped up its efforts to provide Lisinopril, a drug commonly used for treating cardiovascular diseases.

The distribution of Lisinopril is now immediate upon receiving the drugs, which are sent to medical institutions in both Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and the northern districts of the region. This includes the district hospitals in Karaginsky, Elizovsky, and Viluchinsky.

The department responsible for the distribution of these drugs is the GUP "Kamchatpharmacia", which is actively cooperating with the Ministry of Health to ensure the timely and proper distribution of Lisinopril and other necessary medications. According to the Director of GUP "Kamchatpharmacia", Viktor Kyianitsa, this collaboration is crucial in meeting the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and the pharmaceutical supply department.

The subsidy of over 120 million rubles, provided at the end of February, has further facilitated the provision of drugs under urgent prescriptions in the region's medical institutions.

For those seeking answers about benefit drug provision, the regional Ministry of Health has launched a chatbot available at https://t.me/lgot_med_obesp_kk_bot. This resource is designed to assist Kamchatka Krai residents with their questions on a one-on-one basis.

Lisinopril has been proven effective in treating arterial hypertension and has been shown to lower blood pressure in both lying and standing positions. This makes it an essential drug for those dealing with cardiovascular diseases.

Previously, residents of the region had expressed concerns about the lack of access to Lisinopril, with some directly addressing the governor about the issue. However, with the recent distribution of the drug and the ongoing collaboration between the Ministry of Health and GUP "Kamchatpharmacia", it appears that efforts are being made to address these concerns.

Despite the progress, it's important to note that the distribution of Lisinopril to medical institutions in Kamchatka Krai may not always be in full volume due to various factors. Nonetheless, the commitment to ensuring its availability for those who need it remains steadfast.

In a broader context, this development underscores the importance of collaboration between government departments and healthcare providers in ensuring the timely and effective delivery of essential drugs to those who need them most.
