M'era Luna Festival is marking its 25th anniversary with traditional customs in place.

The M'era Luna music festival, held on the airport grounds in Hildesheim, was a resounding success last weekend. With an estimated attendance of 25,000 people, the event featured numerous bands from various genres, including medieval rock, alternative, gothic, and electro.
Performances took place under beautiful sunshine, and the atmosphere was generally positive, with only a few minor complaints. Notable acts that graced the stage included Eisbrecher, Covenant, Heilung, Solar Fake, Apocalyptica, Faderhead, Joachim Witt, Funker Vogt, Faun, Samsas Traum, Universum 25, Chrom, Ost+Front, Ambassador21, Tanzwut, Vanguard, Heimataerde, Chris Harms, and Null Positiv.
In addition to the music stages, the festival also featured a medieval market and numerous sales stands offering fashion and lifestyle articles tailored to the scene. NDR and arte Concert streamed numerous acts from the main stage live into people's homes, providing a wider audience to enjoy the festivities.
The event was not without its administrative oversight, as the Financial Control Schwarzarbeit of the Main Customs Office Braunschweig conducted inspections on August 9th. The focus of these inspections was on the festival's employees, with 91 employers inspected and around 300 employees interviewed.
