In a significant move for the micromobility industry, Beam Mobility and Neuron Mobility have signed a preliminary agreement for a merger. The combined company aims to become a truly global e-scooter operator, offering its services in over 100 cities worldwide.

The merger is expected to be completed within 60 days, subject to customary closing conditions. Once finalised, the combined company will continue to offer micromobility services, leveraging the strengths of both Beam and Neuron.

Beam Mobility's co-founder and CEO, Alan Jiang, will become the CEO of Asia, while Deb Gangopadhyay, Beam Mobility's President and fellow co-founder, will become a strategic advisor. On the other hand, Neuron Mobility's co-founder and CEO, Zachary Wang, will lead the combined company as Chairman and Global CEO.

The combined company will retain both the Beam and Neuron brands, with each deploying in their strongest respective markets. Beam Mobility will focus on micromobility operations in South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Turkey, while Neuron Mobility will continue its operations in Australia and Canada.
