Merger Announcement by Beam and Neuron Companies
In a move set to revolutionize the micromobility industry, Beam Mobility and Neuron Mobility have announced their plans to merge. The combined company aims to provide services across more than 100 cities worldwide.
The merger will bring together two of the most prominent players in the micromobility sector. Beam Mobility, with its strong presence in South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Turkey, and Neuron Mobility, leading the charge in Australia and Canada, will leverage each other's strengths to create a truly global service provider.
Zachary Wang, co-founder and CEO of Neuron Mobility, will serve as Chairman and Global CEO of the combined company. Alan Jiang, co-founder and CEO of Beam Mobility, will take on the role of CEO of Asia in the merged entity. Deb Gangopadhyay, President and fellow co-founder of Beam Mobility, will become a strategic advisor in the combined company.
The merger is expected to be completed within 60 days, subject to customary closing conditions. Upon completion, the combined company will continue to use both the Beam and Neuron brands, with Neuron focusing on Australia & Canada, and Beam on South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Turkey.
This strategic alliance is expected to open up new growth opportunities for the combined company. The merged entity aspires to be a globally profitable e-scooter operator, providing sustainable and efficient mobility solutions to cities around the world.
