Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses will gain integration with Outlook and Google Calendar.

In an exciting development for users in German-speaking regions, the Meta AI app on Ray-Ban Smart Glasses and the Oakley variant now supports German voice commands. This update, Version 18.0, also enables users to connect their personal Google or Outlook calendars to the Meta AI app.

With this new feature, users can query appointments via voice control or dictate new entries using the Meta AI app. For instance, you can ask "Hey Meta, what time is my first meeting tomorrow?" or "Hey Meta, add yoga to my calendar for tomorrow at 9 AM."

Another new addition is the ability to save reminders with location information on Ray-Ban Smart Glasses. If location services are enabled, the glasses will remember where a note was created. This can be particularly useful for to-dos tied to specific locations.

However, it's important to note that there are no new features related to calendar connectivity or location-based reminders specifically for German users in this update. Additionally, the voice command control for Audible services is currently only available in English-speaking regions and not yet offered in German regions within Germany. Although the Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses support German voice commands since July, Audible voice control specifically remains limited to English-speaking areas.

Moreover, Meta has improved camera performance in the new update, making it faster to start recording photos, videos, or live streams. A new camera feature in English-speaking regions allows users to say "Hey Meta, restyle this" to transform a captured image into various styles. However, this feature is not yet available for German users.

The setup for connecting calendars is optional and can be done in the app via the "App Connections" settings. The voice option was gradually rolled out, so not all German users may have immediately found the new selection option in the Meta AI app.

In summary, the latest update brings significant improvements to the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses and Oakley variant, enhancing user experiences for German-speaking users with voice command support and calendar connectivity features.
