Metro Safety Commissioner to Conduct Inspections in two phases before rollout; Numerous Departments Submit Their Reports - Bhopal
The Bhopal Metro is gearing up for a crucial phase as it prepares for inspections by the Commissioner, Metro Railway Safety (CMRS). The certification from the CMRS is necessary before the Metro can officially commence operations, which are scheduled for October.
The CMRS will visit Bhopal twice before issuing the necessary certificate. The first visit will focus on an inspection of the Metro Depot and the rolling stocks (trains) in Bhopal. This inspection will be overseen by senior officials of the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL), including the Managing Director S Krishna Chaitanya and other designated officials and stakeholders involved in the metro project.
Meanwhile, the Civil Department, Signalling Department, and Telecom Department of the MPMRCL are required to upload their reports online for the CMRS. The Metro officials in Bhopal are working around the clock to complete all outstanding work.
During the second visit, the CMRS will inspect the Metro stations in Bhopal. Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Department, Sanjay Dubey, and the Metro Corporation MD, S. Krishna Chetanya, have already inspected the work.
All work for the Bhopal Metro is expected to be completed on time, ensuring a smooth rollout of the service in October. The Metro in Bhopal is undergoing inspections and preparations for certification by the CMRS, marking an important milestone in the city's urban development.
It is anticipated that the CMRS will make the first trip at the earliest due to many departments having uploaded their reports online. Senior officers of the Metro Rail Corporation are currently inspecting the work to ensure everything is in order before the CMRS's arrival.
The Bhopal Metro's certification process is an exciting development for the city, signalling the imminent arrival of a modern, efficient, and sustainable public transportation system. Stay tuned for more updates as the story unfolds.
