London City Lionesses, formerly known as Millwall Women, have made a significant leap in women's football, recently achieving promotion to the Women's Super League (WSL) for the first time in May. This promotion has brought them a kit deal with Nike and front-of-shirt sponsorship from Togethxr, a venture co-founded by USWNT star Alex Morgan and snowboarder Chloe Kim.

The arrival in the WSL has also seen the club welcome 15 new signings, including former Euros winners Danielle van de Donk and Nikita Parris, and her fellow England international Katie Zelem. They have been added to the Kynisca group, which also includes OL Lyonnes and Washington Spirit, two of the leading teams in Europe and the US.

Consulting with sister clubs in the Kynisca ecosystem, the London City Lionesses are actively working on growing their fanbase. The Euros victory by England's Women this summer has had a beneficial impact on the club, with home crowds increasing from hundreds to thousands due to advice from Washington Spirit.

The club is also looking to turn their Kent training ground into one of the biggest and best equipped in women's football. However, they face a challenging start in the WSL, with their first match being against European champions Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

Despite the financial challenges that come with not benefiting from the subsidies of the WSL's biggest sides or the cross-marketing opportunities that being part of a huge brand provides, London City Lionesses aim to not just avoid relegation but make their mark on the WSL and qualify for the Champions League.

In a show of support, US-based billionaire entrepreneur and women's football pioneer, Michele Kang, visited the club during a pre-season training camp in the Netherlands. Kang, who is very involved and passionate about women's football, is evidently dedicated, frequently visiting the club and interacting with the players.

Looking ahead, the World Cup coming to the UK in 2035 presents a real opportunity for London City Lionesses to build a stadium for women's football. However, as of now, there are no search results indicating an agreement regarding the construction of a stadium for London City Lionesses in 2035.

The club is also mindful of any measures that could disincentivize investment due to league-level discussions on achieving better competitive balance. Despite these challenges, the London City Lionesses are determined to carve out a place for themselves in the WSL and women's football history.
