The City & State's 50 Over 50 Honours New York's Remarkable Leaders

The City & State has once again recognised a new class of deserving New York leaders in its annual 50 Over 50. This prestigious list, first published ten years ago, honours 50 exemplary individuals over the age of 50 who have made significant contributions to their respective fields and professions in New York.

This year, five distinguished honorees were inducted into the 50 Over 50 Hall of Fame: Elizabeth Holtzman, Marisa Lago, Brian Lehrer, H. Carl McCall, and Randi Weingarten. These individuals were previously honoured for their achievements in academia, advocacy, business, government, organized labor, and other fields.

The 50 Over 50 Alumni, a group of past honorees recognised by The City & State, includes Robert Morgenthau, Ray Kelly, and Merryl Tisch, among others. This year, the Alumni reconnected with 50 past honorees to see what they've been doing since they first appeared on the list.

Every year since the inaugural 50 Over 50, a new class of deserving New York leaders is recognised. The Alumni are New York leaders who have been recognised annually since the inaugural 50 Over 50 ten years ago.

The search results do not contain information about the five persons inducted into the "50 Over 50 Hall of Fame" or the date when this happened. However, it is clear that these individuals have made a lasting impact in their fields and continue to inspire future generations of leaders in New York.

The City & State's 50 Over 50 is a testament to the power of experience and the importance of recognising the achievements of those who have dedicated their lives to making a difference in their communities. As we celebrate another year of remarkable leaders, we look forward to seeing the continued impact they will have in shaping the future of New York.
