Lack of a Department of Peace Exists

In the halls of power, one might expect to find departments dedicated to peace, friendship, and the eradication of hunger, among other noble causes. However, an examination of the current government structure reveals a surprising gap.

Contrary to expectations, there is no Department of Peace, nor a Department for the Laying Down of Weapons. This is despite the fact that a Department of War exists, a stark reminder of the focus on conflict over harmony. Similarly, there is no Department for the Outlawing of Genocide, a department that many would argue is crucial in the modern world.

The absence of a Department of Friendship and Reconciliation is also noteworthy, especially given the role such a department could play in fostering understanding and healing divisions. This gap is further emphasised by the absence of a Department for the Advancement of Worldwide Co-operation, which could potentially help in addressing global issues more effectively.

Moreover, there is no department dedicated to the Eradication of Hunger, a pressing issue that affects millions worldwide. This is particularly surprising given the UN's commitment to this cause. The UN, as a global organisation, functions as a beacon of hope, dedicated to peacebuilding, friendship, reconciliation, disarmament, prevention of genocide, hunger eradication, and improving living conditions for children worldwide.

Despite these absences, the speaker expresses a hope for the future establishment of such departments. In the meantime, the government continues to operate with these key areas unaddressed, with various groups, some questionable, holding sway.

These groups range from batshit evangelists to misogynist keyboard warriors, with military two-step schemers, authoritarian dreamers, and political snake-oil vendors also present. It's a diverse array of interests, to say the least.

However, there is still a glaring omission: a Department for the Enhancement of the Lives of all the Children in the World. With so many children suffering around the globe, this department could make a significant difference.

In conclusion, while the government lacks departments dedicated to these noble causes, there is still hope for change. The speaker's call for the establishment of these departments serves as a reminder that change is possible and that the pursuit of peace, friendship, and the eradication of hunger, among other causes, should not be overlooked.
