Vadim Romanov bites the dust
Next to leave the tournament was Alexei Romanov, his slow departure marked by a small blind on King-Five, and a big blind call from chip leader David Comeron on Ace-Jack.
Board flashes 8-Queen-Eight-Four-Three.
Romanov finishes 6th, clenching €26,400 in rewards. Wowza!
Card Shenanigans
Ruslan Bakhtiev opened from the cutoff, Seref Durсуn Anar defended the big blind. The flop bursts into applause: King-King-Six. Bakhtiev plops down a bet, call.
Turn slides in a 10, and both players check.
River smirks a 2, and Bakhtiev thanks Texas Hold'em for his delightful meal as he bets 3 Million. A call follows!
Farewell victorious hand! Anar shows Ace-Three, Bakhtiev reveals Jack-Ten, staking claim to the giant pot.
Fast-fire Action
Two hands later, Antonio Saez Zamorano opens from the small blind, Seref Dursun Anar dives all-in from the big blind. Just like that, David Comeron casually joins the fray.
Board: Nine-Five-Seven-Seven-Four.
Anar shows King-Jack, Comeron scores with King-Eight, but it turns out Zamorano's Aces are too clutch, sending Anar cartwheeling into 5th place and €35,200 in cash.
Bakhtiev leaves us breathless
Drumroll, please! Bakhtiev calls from the button, Comeron shoves with King-King, but Bakhtiev flips up an Ace-King.
Board revels: Seven-Seven-Four-Two-Six.
Ruslan Bakhtiev says adieu to the game, winning €47,600 as he places 4th. Congratulations!
One easy step from glory
With Swedish Rock Festival-like intensity, Milad Oghabyan launched a shove, and Comeron uploaded a last stand, Jack-Queen to Ace-King. Tension arches, but the board shows: Six-Dollar sign-Seven-Queen-Jack-Nine.
And there you have it! Iranian-born Milad Oghabyan living it up in Europe finishes 3rd, €74,000 waiting at the door.
Chopped for Victory
The stacks settled into a near dead heat, and with subtle drama, the players chop it up for €164K, leaving us with a 2-person face-off on the final card table.
Two chimps, one chip: David Comeron from Spain and the one-and-only Antonio Saez Zamorano from Andorra!
The bright lights shine and the drums roll. Spain's David Comeron finished in 2nd place. The wildly energetic Antonio Saez Zamorano charges from the starting gate, utterly eclipsing all, and clinches 1st place, winner of the Golden Poker Million Main Event in Cyprus of 2019!
Time to say goodnight, but we'll be back on deck, eager to raise the stakes. Until then, raise one for us! Cheers!
