In the early hours of August 18, a collision occurred in Gummersbach, Germany, at the intersection of Bünghauser Straße and Königstraße. The other party involved was a 59-year-old motorcyclist from the nearby town of Engelskirchen, who was traveling on Königstraße with the right of way towards Oberbantenberg.

The collision resulted in severe injuries for the motorcyclist, who was taken to the hospital for treatment. The 56-year-old woman from Gummersbach involved in the incident sustained minor injuries.
