MLS Season Pass on Apple TV continues with the league's thirtieth season, marking a significant return to the platform.
The 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) season is set to begin on February 22, and fans can look forward to a host of exciting developments.
In a significant move, Apple and Comcast have joined forces to offer an integrated viewing experience for MLS Season Pass. This means that Xfinity customers will enjoy free access to MLS Season Pass throughout the season, while T-Mobile customers can take advantage of a promotional offer for complimentary access all season long.
The first match of the season will see Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF take on New York City FC. This highly-anticipated encounter will be available to stream on the Apple Sports app, which will be the best way for fans to stay up-to-date on scores, stats, standings, and their favourite clubs throughout the MLS season.
Apple Maps users can explore dedicated Matchday Guides created by MLS clubs and city guides curated by players. On Apple Music, fans can enjoy exclusive club- and player-curated playlists. On Apple News, users can easily follow MLS and their favourite teams.
The Apple Sports app will also offer Live Activities for all MLS matches, starting from iOS 18 and watchOS 11. This feature will allow fans to stay informed about the latest scores and updates in real-time on their Apple devices.
MLS Season Pass will be available on Apple TV for fans in over 100 countries and regions. A subscription to MLS Season Pass will be included with each full-season MLS club ticket account. For everyone else, a subscription will cost $14.99 per month during the season, or $99 for the full season. Apple TV+ subscribers can sign up at a special price of $12.99 per month, or $79 per season.
The upcoming season will also feature the arrival of the 30th MLS team, San Diego FC. The inaugural Sunday Night Soccer matchup will see San Diego FC take on the reigning MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy on February 23 at 7 p.m. ET. Sunday Night Soccer will broadcast a featured game of the week on Sunday evenings during the regular season.
Subscribers to MLS Season Pass will have access to every MLS game with no blackouts. Dedicated pre- and postgame shows will be a part of Sunday Night Soccer. Enhanced production and studio programming will be featured in Sunday Night Soccer, with bespoke graphics in English and Spanish.
In addition to live matches, MLS Season Pass will offer in-depth coverage, analysis, and exclusive content. On Apple Podcasts, users can access an MLS hub with curated podcast episodes and collections. On Apple TV, fans can watch Onside: Major League Soccer, a docuseries premiering on February 21.
The 2025 season marks the third year of an unprecedented 10-year partnership between Apple and Major League Soccer. The partnership has already brought numerous improvements to the MLS viewing experience, and fans can expect even more in the coming years.
Preseason friendlies are also set to take place, with Inter Miami playing Orlando City SC on February 14, and a match between LAFC and Club América on February 11. These preseason matches will be available to stream free for Apple TV+ subscribers.
